Verification of blog.
This is to verify that I have started my blog and my research on pre-eclampsia disease.
Pre-Eclampsia is a disease that occurs during the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy and causes high blood pressure and protein in the urine. This disease also shuts down the mother's liver and kidneys as well as low blood flow to the placenta which is obviously a key role in the fetus development. 5-8% of all pregnancies result in pre-eclampsia and is the major cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. I just posted a little background on the disease as well as my own personal experience with pre-eclampsia. Hope you enjoy it Professor Kirk and I'm excited to study further into this topic!
